We're doing the recording of next upcoming single. Due to the earthquake disaster, our lives had been postponed so our work this time is considering to be ahead of the schedule. Since we're having lives replacement too, the schedule had been tight. Till now, it might be we don't have good time at all.
---The production after Vortex right? How will it be?
If you want be to say it as one, it'll be something that sounds good. I feel satisfied, very. Even it's not as ideal, but it's quite close to it. " We sound far. [ Good feeling. ]", we feel this. As before this we would have been "Why we had gone so far away till this? [ Bad feeling ]" but we had gradually become closer to that [ That music that sounded far from what they usually do. ] On how we can become that, I actually don't know too. It's impossible because of new instruments. However, since Vortex, the picking [ picking of the instruments ] had been reduced.
Interviewer: ---If you want to say it in total, that was a good year.
Yeah. But, I don't want to repeat that kind of year for the second time (laughs). Though it's a memorable year, that kind of " under-pressure feeling ", I don't want to taste [ feel ] it again. As the result, there will be many problems unsolved. Before Dome ends, the problems will remain unsolved, when we did it, it feels like " At last it ended. " but it actually haven't.
Yes. I don't want to do troublesome matters (laughs). For sure I would like to do Dome again but I don't want to be under pressure, as I want to have that kind of mood to do it and feel more free and easy like " It's been a long time we're back here. ". When we do this next time, it'll be full with people but if same level of manpower needed, I think it'll be meaningless. It was supposed to have meaning just because we did it for the first time last year, but if we do with the same capacity every time, I don't think it'll have any.
---Just because of that, it had became a special day which both of you all can't forget. If there are vacant spaces, surely there will be people who talked about that but the GazettE had made it even though they are acknowledged with it.
Surely this is something we knew but had been keeping it but the one year when Tokyo Dome was decided, the year when 3 times of staffs were involved, I thought it's something impossible.
---But it wasn't supposed to be " Fully packed = Successful. "
That's true. Even the hall was packed it's not actually being successful, you can't say that the live was good or not. That's the difficult part.
That's correct. Just that, it's not only 5 of us. Me, I think that it's not that fans are claiming something from us, that's the honest part. Fans who came to the tour's hall, " Isn't this too fast? " or " This is not, it will be over if it's Dome, right? ", I thought we'll be getting that but in fact, those kind of voice wasn't there. When we decided Dome, everyone feel happy with us, and we wanted to say let's head there together, that kind of feeling. Just because of that, we think that's it's possible. In contrast, if everyone said " It will be impossible right? ", probably even us, won't feel the good part of Dome.
---Just because of that you all are able to feel very thankful. When it ended it's possible for the tears to spill (laughs).

---When you realized that, had anything new happened?
Particularly no. Somehow this is better. During the pre-process, " Don't come, this attack. " this feeling came too. As the result, when the bass' sound attack came, if the guitar come at this time, it will not be heard. So I thought of strengthening the foundation. This thought became stronger than before. Still, as a bassist who supports the base, I think it's good not to do unnecessary things. It's seen as something outdated, but for me it's something cool.
---Even this is usually unseen but when it's not there, you actually have the reason of existence.
I just want to feel that kind of existence. Even we separated our parts, but bass is usually something that will blast. When I thought of that, I don't need unnecessary phrases anymore.
---I see. The flow since Vortex, how are you going to explain it? Surely before and after the live of Tokyo Dome, even it's just part of the realization, it's should be something different [ or wrong ] right?
Nope, it's something unrelated. Well, not to say to pack Tokyo Dome up, it's not something remarkable (laughs). But this year, somehow there are more freedom.
---That means last year there was no freedom right? (laughs)
Even last year has last year's freedom, while we're noting about Dome, " Let's make our target full of Tokyo Dome! ", have that thought then decide everything. To release single at which month, how will the song be, to decide what will it be like, " Let's do whatever we wanted to do at that place. ", we barely had that kind of freedom. Those had been decided without us. In comparison, this time is " Let's do this over there. " Isn't it a big freedom? Last year wasn't a comfort, this year I want to do things that will only make our mood to be good (laughs)
---That's straight forward. (laughs) Before this, when you all decided to do the first Budoukan, you said before when you all heading to it, during the long tour, you guys had been united right? Along Dome, does this happens too?
During Dome, it was very hard. I thought of surely there will be unity but when we started it, there are many problems occured... Somehow when the problems occured, we'll be " I want to end Dome as soon. " We have to end it quickly. Therefore when we ended, we really feel relieved. Actually, we don't feel like ending last year.

No matter how big is the place, there won't be a chance at that stance right?
Surely there are fans who left us. Well, we don't know the way to stop them anyway. (laughs) At the same time, people who left, " It's been a long time I've been here, it feels good and cool, I'll come again. ", are very welcomed too. Therefore, it'll be if you like it just like it, if you dislike it just dislike it. I think that kind of freedom is good. We both get freedom, that's the good part.
---Even you set it to Tokyo Dome, it'll be good if it's packed, you never do that right?
Um. For example, fans who usually come are 20 thousand people and people who came the first time made the audiences to have 30 thousand people, I think it doesn't feel right. Surely people who came for the first time will feel happy, people who watched the live for once. but percentage of people who're able to share it wasn't high. Therefore, " If you feel like hating it, just hate it. " though of that, I really feel thankful at Tokyo Dome. Actually, though it wasn't packed up, but I think there are lives of other band who had it packed up, I think that wasn't our ability, it's the fans'.
---Just because of that, it had became a special day which both of you all can't forget. If there are vacant spaces, surely there will be people who talked about that but the GazettE had made it even though they are acknowledged with it.

---Band who chose Dome, are bands that deserves to be there, right?
That's correct. Merely because " I want to do it, so I did it. " is not allowed. At least, bands who went there are like that. They don't want to lose to that place. Therefore, we are being the same too, because there are many bands who did Dome for the first time, we don't want to lose to them.
---I understand it well. I think actually, when you stood at that place, not to say about troublesome matters and the things that you feel like celebrating, you actually purely just feel thankful. As for proof, when you watched the documentary of the DVD [ Tokyo Dome Live DVD ], you do feel like snapping the photo with your phone after audiences arrival on the stage itself (laughs)

Talking about that, I'm too nervous and I totally forgot to do it (laughs) As usual, there is certain kind of nervousness. " It's here! " I thought of that. Since secondary school I've been thinking of standing there. Therefore, Uruha said something like, " This day had finally came. " We both said that during secondary year. Though at last, we cried but the first thing we realized was " Why this sound keep repeating? ", and the sound at the runway, we don't understand it. But gradually we'd get used to it and our feeling became better. The scene is the best, the fans and our live get along with each other. In Dome, there were many lives houses here. Therefore, even we ourselves don't know the reason why when it ended, we cried. I think that's of course of the bitterness we went through too (laughs) Though that live was in December but 5 of us actually went to tavern [ 居酒屋 ] during January of that year.
---It's something at January right?
Um. Over there, only 5 of us are discussing about doing it [ Dome ] or not. Usually there will be staffs together in discussion, and there are times we [ 5 of them and staffs ] go for meals, but if talking about 5 of us only, there was none. Over there, " How? Doing? ", we talked about this. " About Dome doing at the end of the year, how was it? " though talked about it in advance, but only the members said " U-m. [ Means yes. ] " Actually people who wanted to do that were us. From the surrounding, there are voices like " Is it only now? " Therefore at the beginning of the new year, 80% of the time we were talking about that (laughs). The other 20% percent we talked about serious stuffs.
---At there when green light was out [ passed ] what was the reason for you all to decide that?
As the result, 5 of us think that it's possible. It's not about " To do or not to do. ", what we need was the will, the volition. Till now we'd been always doing that, Budoukan at first we don't know what will happen too but we did it, but after that what we learnt had solidified. In short, if you don't do it, you won't be seeing the result.
---Over there, you do feel like one kind of running-away feeling like " No, still can't do it. ", right?
There was. Actually, " Isn't it too early? " this happened too. It's not about instead of waiting 1 year or 2 years, as possible, in contrast, as time passes, Budoukan might be turned down. It seems that we can only do it when there's the chance. Though we know we're gambling at something dangerous.
---As the result, the decision was no wrong, right?
Um. Just because it's not like " If it's not packed we'll disband. " that kind of youngsters. (laughs) Surely it's not that we'd lose totally but the worst situation would be, even we'd failed totally but 5 of us will still start again from those scratches.

Hahaha! But it's true. Though it's something decided by 5 of us, it's actually not only 5 of us, but the fans and the staffs who were been there for us. I really think that it's because of that.
---Then, even you said something humble like that, this year you are doing songs like being uncontrollable. [ crazy ]
The degree of freedom is surely high. We didn't take much time to decide them. " Let's do this kind of song. ", it's not being like this but it's close to it. Though last year when we want to come out with a single, we will balance the main song with the couplings, but this year is like " Let's make everything exciting!
I: On the car, when you're holding the handle [[probably the gear]], your character changes immediately right.
R: Aaah, that happens too. I'm okay with it. I always drift on road (laughs) My car, the brake almost going to fail to function (laughs) The emergency brake just doesn't work. Even I'd stepped it, it still "szuuuu----" [[sound of a car drifting]]. Therefore I always distance my car from the others on the road. Surprisingly, it's a safe drive. This is just a car you must drive safely lol
I: So you're the so-called "drifing gang".
R: That was previously. When I'm in a national car, I can drive recklessly but now when I'm on it I feel scared.
I: Just because over there (Tokyo Dome) the feeling of thanking your parents are really strong, you do have the feeling of showing gratitute to them right?
R: I think that's a must.
I: But I think that's something that is quite impossible to be perfectly done. Actually, what they felt for all these?
R: They felt really happy for me. When my aunt saw me seems to had became a rich person, she said something like " I need to follow that, I can't sleep! " lol
I: After Tokyo Dome you as the target, personally you do have one big thing for yourself right? (laughs)
R: It's really like that. But to talk the truth, there is a car I always wanted and dying for it. It's of Aston Martin, that 2 billion yens one. But before aiming for that, I'll do filial piety first. Actually, I thought of realizing the thing that I said before anything else. But next time, before I'm in the magazine cover again, I'll get that Aston Martin. Nooo, that's quite impossible lol
I: Reita-san, you personally, had you ever exactly and clearly thought of a plan in future?
R: Nope, just those above. Firstly to buy a house, then own a car, just those. After this it'll be "What should I do? lol " but above all, I'll continue the band, it actually fills my private time too, that.
I: Over there in Tokyo Dome, clothes, make ups and etc do have their own important meaning right. As for Reita-san, the cloth [[the one at his nose]] you always put on, do it has a name?
R: Oh that? I call it as " REITA SAN " (laughs) In other words, I'm wrapping myself with " REITA SAN " (laughs)
I: So when you're in music house or somewhere, you do normally hear words like " Can you take out the " REITA SAN " for me? " right?
R: Yes yes. Like that (laughs)
I: Above all, when you don't have make ups, costumes and REITA SAN, you won't be able to stand on the stage right?
R: Unn. It's not totally like that but people who did that don't really feel like humans. All members of the GazettE, actually have that moments too even it's just a little. Actually, we can't actually do our things like that. Before this, I was surprised [[liked it too]]. When people [[ some other artists ]] do that in Budoukan and Tokyo Dome, I thought they're really rich and live a luxury life. That was around high school time. When I was doing in Budoukan, " Ahh, so the reality is this. " . So people who liked us when they see us on stage, they can't imagine what actually happened and is happening behind the stage.
I: So that documentary [[ in Tokyo Dome DVD ]] actually do teach them something.
R: Yeah. It was actually done pretty well. Like " Ahhh it's something like that. " (laughs) If people were really paying attention to it, the imagination [[ of those luxury life and etc ]] will lose.
I: Weird talks now. The path where people took to go back from Tokyo Dome, you actually walked it too with few thousands of people just for the convenience store right?
R: Right right. " Surely I don't want to go out tomorrow. " so I thought of this and even tried to buy the food for the day after tomorrow too (laughs)
I: But Reita-san, even that, normally it don't feel like a rockstar.
R: Even there are thoughts of that, I really don't know what to do. Just for now, it's not like I'll be pouring medicine while saying " RIGHT NOW! I'M ROCKING! "
I: There are things you need for you to show out like a rock star right?
R: Right. For me, though the symbol of rock star is car, bike, girls and alcohols but I'm not good in alcohols (laughs). Just because of that, during the live of 2 to 3 hours, it's really special to me, because it feels like in a dream. Probably fans feels the same too. Everyone worked to buy the ticket for that 2 to 3 hours. We have that kind of feelings too. After that live, we'll go back to our normal life like a normal human (laughs) Therefore I can really feel that time is very special.
I: I see. Actually, above that, those moments on the stage it is similar to " the second lifestyle " . Even that, I think it'll be good if there's a line between "the second lifestyle" and the real one.
R: Even it's little I feel that too. In between that there are people who take it as no boundaries in both, but to make the lives special, I think I'll just maintain the way I think right now. Isn't it feels really normal? (Laughs)
I: Do you feel like the GazettE had grown up from the old one?
R: Yeah, it do. Every time for the place of tour finals, surely the place will be bigger than the tour finals before that. Even we didn't say that out but I guess everyone understood it. But after Tokyo Dome, " For the next one, which one will be better? " we have that thoughts but for the next one I guess it'll be a place we can freely present ourselves.
I: Just because you do have the usual you, when you're as " Reita ", it do gives certain value and meaning to yourself. Can it be said in that way?
R: Yeah. Surely the usual me will still be the usual me but when I'm at in front of the others, I'll be special. Therefore, when I was out, I don't want people to see how am I when I'm on stage. They're totally different. The usual me don't really go out from house too (laughs)
I: You do actually see your own things optimistically right?
R: Yeah. It seems like that too in lives. It's always I can think something calmly. The live last year, I always write memos right after the lives. As time passes, its not that I'm calm enough to write notes after lives but it had become a habit. With that i can actually know what I had done. " I'd played wrongly here. " to acknowledge myself and see if I can do something during lives. Without realizing it I had actually missed out many things in the lives, it made me can't calm down, and this situation can't be seen by the people surrounding.
I: Even it's simple but it's a way to check yourself. For the result, how is it?
R: It perfectly made me realize that I was wrong somewhere. Because I do correct those misses, for now I'm writing less in memo. With that, I'll do it better next time and " This song over here, it feels a bit harsh. ", I start to be strict to myself. I always do these last year.
I: You're a type that can do something continuously.
R: No, actually no. I'm a type that can't do something continuously. For diary, I'm pretty sure I can't continue it for more than 2 days (laughs) But for those memos, it's something that if I stop it won't be good. It's something that lead me to Tokyo Dome too so I'd made it something I must do.

R: No, actually no. I'm a type that can't do something continuously. For diary, I'm pretty sure I can't continue it for more than 2 days (laughs) But for those memos, it's something that if I stop it won't be good. It's something that lead me to Tokyo Dome too so I'd made it something I must do.
